2010 PP Tour
Come see what clean, renewable solar energy, combined with energy efficiency can do for your home or business
Event Date and Time: Saturday, October 2nd 2010, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Location: The Expo will be located at Colorado Technical University, 4435 N. Chestnut St. Colorado Springs, CO 80907 The tour consists of homes and businesses in the Colorado Springs area that are using solar energy to generate electricity, hot water or space heat
Background: The Pikes Peak Region Solar Tour and Expo is part of the non-profit American Solar Energy Society’s (ASES) National Solar Tour . The National Solar Tour is the largest grassroots solar event in the nation. In 2009 almost 150,000 attendees visited over 5,000 buildings in 3,000 communities across the country. The ASES tour goes international in 2010 with a solar tour in Mexico.
How Does it Work?: Come out to Colorado Technical University during the free Expo to see the latest in home and business energy efficiency and renewable energy technology. While there, purchase a brochure and tour map to participate in the self-guided tour of homes and businesses using solar energy in the Colorado Springs area.
Tour Fees:

Tour Catalogue with Map of Home and Business Tour Sites- $5 ($1 for CTU students and CRES members)

Tour Tickets- $2 for adults (FREE for ages 15 and below, CTU students and CRES members). Everyone must have a ticket to attend a tour site
Prizes, Prizes, Prizes: Attend at least three tour locations and you can submit your name for a drawing to be held at the end of the tour. Prizes range in value from $25 to $400

Participate in the Tour: Help increase solar awareness in our community. Volunteer to show your home or business solar system as part of the tour. Systems can be solar photovoltaic, solar hot water, solar pool heating or solar space heating. Contact the tour organizer for more information.
